Course Description
This 96-hour course prepares the participant to be able to perform fire fighting functions to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) defined in NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Current Edition. The participant must also complete the Hazardous Materials Operation level course in order to meet the remainder of the NFPA Fire Fighter I JPR requirements. Course curriculum is based on the Jones and Bartlett Fundamentals of Firefighter Skills and Hazardous Materials Response, Current Edition. A written and practical skills certification exam is available to participants who successfully complete this course.
