The goal is to uncover and gather information to a high degree of accuracy, to understand the objective facts, to establish a fair and credible process, to render meaningful decisions, to reduce or eliminate uncertainty and to prevent surprise. Effective investigations can result in reduced liability risk, reduced legal costs, greater organizational and public confidence, and a more professional workforce.
