Internship in Liberal Arts and Sciences

Course Description

Internships offer exposure to a profession. This course enables students with internships to earn academic credit in the University Transfer Liberal Arts Program. Students apply knowledge derived from their academic studies to the workplace and professional exploration. The course enhances an internship experience by providing an academic framework for learning and self-reflection as well as major and career exploration. Internships are completed under the guidance of a faculty mentor with the cooperation of an on-site supervisor. Note: student must have secured an external internship that requires a minimum of 72 hours and submit an internship contract before enrolling in the course.
